Cross Street Corridor Nonmotorized Enhancement Project Update
Construction has begun!

The Cross Street Nonmotorized Enhancement Project is intended to enhance one of the city’s major thoroughfares while strengthening the link between EMU, West Cross and Depot Town. Project goals include increasing non-motorized and pedestrian movement, ADA compliancy through the districts and storm water improvements in Depot Town. Read the memo here.

The City of Ypsilanti was one of three communities in Michigan to have two separate DDA districts. Until June of 2009, these two districts were governed by two separate DDA boards. The City Council voted on June 16, 2009 to create a single DDA board (see the approved resolution here).
